Thank you to everyone at Operation Community Cares and all who donate

I am an Army soldier with the 426 Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) and am  currently serving my country in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Today I received care packages from your organization and and have to say that it really made my day. To know that everyone back at home is thinking about us means a lot. We do not have much to look forward to and spend most of our time counting the days  until we get to come home. I just want to say thank you to everyone at Operation Community Cares and all who donate. God Bless you all, and God Bless America. AIRBORNE!!!!

I just recently received a package

Thanks for donations to help our troops

Thank you from Afghanistan

Dear Community Cares,

I am part of a Recon Infantry Company deployed to a remote part of Afghanistan on a year long tour. We have received your packages and I cannot thank you enough. Its very heart warming to know how many of you have come together to donate your time and money for us fighting this difficult war. Its really nice to know that there are a lot of you out there that support us even though the wars popularity is rapidly decreasing. We are honored to have been the recipients of these packages and I just wanted to extend our greatest gratitude toward you all. Thank you very much and we all here are wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays.

Email from the sister of Sgt. First Class William Dawson

I cannot begin to tell you how I feel about the homecoming… what a wonderful world this would be if all people were like the group of people who welcomed my brother home.

He was shocked and genuinely overcome with emotion. There was not a dry eye to be found. My mother was in awe, his wife and children moved to tear at the out pouring of respect and honor that was given to my brother.

My sincere thanks to all of you.

Thank you so much for care packages

Thank you so much for sending me (us) care packages. I belong to HHC 578th Engineer Bn currently at Fob Sharana; in the packet there are three letters I would like to answer back. What is the protocol to follow? one of the letters has an email address, is that ok to reply back ? On my last deployment, my son’s school send me letters too and I send letters back to the school, kids were thrilled! Please advice. Thank you in advance.
