Binghamton-Seton CC baseball game will benefit troops
Tonight’s high school baseball game between Seton Catholic Central and Binghamton at Conlon Field will carry more significance than your typical non-league contest.
The 7 o’clock game will benefit Operation Community Cares, which provides assistance for troops who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as their families — and also honor the memory of Jim Orr, an Endicott native who passed away in March. Orr, a former pitcher for Seton Catholic Central, Broome Community College and LeMoyne College, assisted his son Ryan in organizing events for Operation Community Cares.
All donations received at tonight’s game will go toward Operation Community Cares.
